An auction of private number plates is to be held in Warwickshire later this month. The auction will take place at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon Warwickshire. The sale will be held over three days and unusually the last day falls on a Saturday. I guess this is an attempt to drum up more private customers to visit the auction to purchase their private number plates.
The auction exclusively consists of previously unissued car registration numbers from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency, DVLA. Each of the 1500 private number plates on offer has it’s own lot with a reserve price. Any lot that fails to achieve the reserve price remains unsold.
The DVLA auction catalogue features car registration number WA11 ACE, Wallace. Maybe Mel Gibson will be at the auction and purchase it as a memento for his role as William Wallace in the film Braveheart. I am sure that having Mel Gibson at the auction would bring the ladies out in droves to secure their own private number plates.
