- In 1991, a driver named Johnny Herbert drove the Mazda to win the Le Mans Endurance race, making Mazda the first and only the Japanese car maker winning the event. After 20 years Herbert returned with the Mazda in the event and the audience including the film star Patrick Dempsey, just loved it.
