Today Friday June 5th lot 1049 went on sale at Wychwood Park, Crewe, Cheshire the reserve price of £8000 was dwarfed by the considerable interest in this private number plate. The auctioneer started the bidding with a book bid of 16,500 the bidding started in £500 blocks but quickly increased to £1000 increments. At the £21,000 mark the auctioneer’s book was out and bid for this prestigious private number plate was in the room where the bidding slowed down a little before a rally between a phone bidder and bidders in the DVLA Auction hall, the auctioneer taking advantage of all channels to sell a private number plate.
