Tempted by special deals for Canadians who end up boosting the Flathead Valley economy with their post-Thanksgiving holiday shopping, these visitors are a welcome sight to Kalpell’s business owners. From shopkeepers to hoteliers, many report booming sales at this time of year and car parks full of Canadian number plates. What brings them to this side of the border are the lower prices, unique stores, no sales tax and of course, the special deals.
